Snaefellsnes Peninsula

Fieldtrip!

Headed out to tour around Snaefellsnes Penisula, to the west of Reykjavik.  The goal: to hit the beach at the foot of a lava flow and collect stones that are naturally rounded and polished by the crashing waves…a natural rock tumbler.  Didn’t expect so many stops along the way.  And the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.  Every turn, every corner, an “oh! wow” moment. A fabulous day!!
